Calculator inputs
Earnings, hours, costs, reference-paycheck and tax calculations run in your browser. These input values are not sent to our usage counter. PayGuess has no account system or server copy of your saved weeks.
Optional device storage
“Remember my weeks” saves settings and explicitly saved weeks on this device. “Remember my occupation and location” saves those entries only when selected and submitted. Unticking clears the corresponding saved data. You can also clear site data using your browser. Different devices do not share these records. Local saving does not authorize separate usage measurement.
Paycheck details and photos
Tax and reference-paycheck fields remain in the active page session and are excluded from device history and opportunity links. Reload to clear session-only values. Photo scanning remains disabled; this beta does not collect paystub images.
Limited usage measurement
PayGuess sends a fixed event name when the calculator page opens, you edit earnings into a valid result or load a worked example, submit an opportunity search, click an Indeed search, or keep the page visible and focused for about 30 seconds. Each kind of event is counted at most once per page load. Our Cloudflare database stores only the UTC day, event name and running total. It does not store individual event rows, identifiers, input values, profession, location, tax details or saved history. Counters cannot identify returning people and are approximate; reloads, blockers and automated traffic affect them.
Our counter uses no tracking cookies or persistent visitor identifiers. It skips counting when the browser sends Do Not Track or exposes Global Privacy Control. Cloudflare Web Analytics, when enabled, separately measures page visits and performance without analytics cookies or localStorage. Cloudflare processes requests and may handle IP addresses and browser information under its own service policies; device-only calculations do not mean no hosting data is processed. Opportunity links
Only when you click Search Indeed, the displayed search wording (including a pay target when shown) and location are sent to Indeed in its search URL. Tax figures, costs and saved history are not included. Indeed operates under its own policies. PayGuess has no paid affiliate agreement, does not sell your calculator entries, and does not embed job advertisements or third-party ad tracking.
Contact and choices
Use PayGuess without saving anything. If you email us, Google/Gmail and the operator receive your email address and whatever you include so we can respond. Do not email paystubs, SSNs or bank details. You may request deletion of correspondence by emailing support; applicable record-retention requirements may limit deletion. Device history is under your control and cannot be recovered or edited by support.
Changes
Updates will be posted here with a new effective date. Material changes to data collection will be disclosed before the new feature is enabled. This notice describes this beta, not a promise about unbuilt features.
